ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work 4 days per week on day shift, earning $3,721 weekly.

About the Role

You will independently perform imaging procedures in the interventional radiology department, applying independent judgment and technical expertise. Your responsibilities include demonstrating proper patient positioning, executing appropriate radiographic techniques, and operating imaging equipment while monitoring patient safety systems. You will prepare patients correctly, administer contrast according to established protocols under physician direction, and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures.

Key Duties

  • Perform interventional radiology procedures with proper positioning and radiographic technique
  • Operate imaging equipment and patient monitoring systems
  • Administer contrast media per assigned protocols under proceduralist direction
  • Verify patient identity using two identifiers and apply universal protocol
  • Review patient history and physician orders to apply departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition
  • Document patient information in the electronic health record
  • Ensure proper exam coding, tracking, networking for archiving, and charge entry
  • Communicate clearly with patients to reduce anxiety and secure cooperation
  • Support other departments with general radiographic procedures as needed
  • Foster an environment prioritizing aseptic technique and patient safety during time-out procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology or invasive cardiovascular technology experience
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or accredited invasive cardiovascular technology program
  • ARRT Certificate, or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Pennsylvania Acts 31, 33, 34, and 73 licensure
