ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts
• Weekend coverage required
• No call or float requirements
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 6-bed ICU unit with a daily census of 4 patients
• Treats patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Charting system experience required; EMR system is Evident
• Block scheduling available on a case-by-case basis
• Free parking available on-site in designated lot
• 24 orientation hours included
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2.5-3+ years preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (preferred), NRP (preferred)
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, emergency medications, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, and social services
• Time off requests for 12/24 and 12/25 are not approved
