ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Job Details:

• Float required to med/surg unit
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Patient ratio experience of 1:3 required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Patient population includes adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics ranging from young adults to elderly
• Manage patients on vents, titratable drips, and substance abuse withdrawal
• Care for patients with cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and GI system diseases as well as post-operative patients
• Perform and assist with special procedures including A-lines, central lines, intubations, chest tubes, and open abdomens
• Operate special equipment including glidescope
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
• EPIC charting system experience is a hard requirement
• Required skills include: arterial line management, central line care/management, PICC line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/acute stroke management, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), fresh tracheostomy management, procedural sedation, IV insulin protocols, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions/PPE
