RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (5x8 shifts - Days)
• 36 hours guaranteed per week
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
• Minimum 2+ years of Cath Lab circulating and documenting experience required
• Scrubbing experience preferred
• Provide critical, fast-paced care for patients undergoing minimally invasive heart and vascular procedures
• Review patient medical history and allergies, provide patient education regarding procedures
• Administer conscious sedation medication and assist cardiologists during diagnostic cases and interventions
• Monitor patients during procedures and manage moderate to deep sedation
• Administer critical medications and continuously monitor hemodynamics
• Perform diagnostic and minimally invasive interventional cardiac catheterization procedures and peripheral vascular procedures
• Assist with cardioversions and transesophageal echocardiograms
• Patient population consists of cardiac and peripheral vascular patients
• Patient ratio of 3:1
• EMR: EPIC required
• Scrubs provided by the hospital
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only)
• Virginia or Compact nursing license required
