Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Must have ability to work in all critical care areas including NICU, adult ICU, ED, and basic floor therapy
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
• Holiday coverage required - expected to work up to two major holidays if they fall within assignment period
• Self-scheduling
• 12 orientation hours required
• Treats patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
• Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, Intubation Assist, Extubation, Tracheostomy care/management, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Mechanical Ventilation Weaning, NICU, Emergency Department, Bronchoscopy, Pediatric Critical Care, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI), Nasal and Oral Airway Placement, Sputum Specimen Collection, and various aerosol and inhaled medication therapies
