ICU Registered Nurse Job in Clinton, MD

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Maryland. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,047.

Schedule and Staffing:

• 3x12 night shift schedule
• Every other weekend required; 6 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) within a six-week period
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• You will work primarily in the IMC unit and may float to ICU, ED, and Med Surg as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum overall score of 80% and 100% on lethal rhythms

Clinical Skills and Equipment Proficiency:

You will demonstrate proficiency with ventilators, tracheostomies, IV non-titratable drips, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis. Required skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care and management, chest tube management, heparin protocols, arterial blood gas interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, and wound care.

Patient Population:

You will care for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and GI/GU conditions. Interdisciplinary support is available through physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services.
