PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a 23-bed step down and 16-bed medical surgery progressive care unit
• Patient ratios: 1:3-4 for step down patients, 1:4-6 for medical surgery patients
• Work with various equipment including lifts, chest tubes, cardiac drips, stable vented patients, and trachs
• Use Cerner EMR system
• Perform typical procedures such as trach care, chest tubes, and wound dressing changes
• 2 years nursing experience required
• Experience working with trachs required
• Previous experience with Cerner preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• May float to other medical surgery and progressive care units
• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs
• Weekend requirement: 6 Saturday or Sunday shifts in a 6-week period
• Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 4 PCTs
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 10 RNs, 4 PCTs
• Must demonstrate flexibility and high level of clinical competence
