PCU RN Job in Chapel Hill, NC

You will provide direct patient care in the Progressive Care Unit at University of North Carolina Health Care System, working 12-hour shifts. This is an 89-week travel assignment beginning August 17, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,043.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver competent clinical nursing care aligned with professional nursing standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety evaluations for patients with complex medical needs
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
• Consult with interdisciplinary resources for patients with complex care requirements, specialized teaching needs, and high-risk discharge planning situations
• Assess and anticipate discharge needs to support safe transitions
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions to evaluate care quality and ensure continuity
• Organize and prioritize patient care based on individual and family needs
• Contribute to unit performance improvement initiatives and goal achievement
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
• Serve in charge nurse or precepting roles as assigned, which may occur nearly every shift

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Charge nurse and precepting experience required
• 48-hour work guarantees accepted
