PCU RN Job in Asheville, NC

You'll work as an RN on the D2 unit at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, a 20-bed inpatient progressive care setting that handles mixed-acuity medical-surgical and step-down patients. This is a backfill travel position with a 91-day contract starting September 28, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Manage patients with quick turnover short-stay admissions (less than 24 hours length of stay)
• Work with patient ratios of 1:5 or 1:6 depending on level of care
• Monitor all telemetry patients using hardwired bedside equipment
• Document and communicate using the Cerner EMR system
• Float to other units as needed to support hospital operations

Schedule and Compensation

You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week, with hours from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM. Every-other-weekend requirement applies; no call is required. Weekly pay is $2,094.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Telemetry competency and progressive care experience
• Recent progressive care experience preferred
