PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend and holiday schedule
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of nursing experience required
• Neuro PCU experience required
• Recent travel work history highly preferred
• Provide direct care to patients using the nursing process, including ongoing assessment of total patient needs
• Administer medications, perform treatments, provide patient education, respond to call lights, assist with transfers, and respond to alarms
• Evaluate effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary team to establish patient goals and outcomes
• Function as team leader and resource to others, delegating and providing direction to support staff
• Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and hospital-specific policies and procedures
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS Certification
• Michigan nursing license required with active LARA and/or Nursys verification
• Skills checklist completed within one year of application pertinent to PCU specialty required
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required
