Operating Room RN Job in Pratt, KS

Pratt Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room. This is a day-shift position working Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, on a block schedule with a 1:1 patient ratio.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
• OR RN Circulator role
• Active RN license in hand or compact license at time of submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• One professional reference required

Clinical Competencies:

You must demonstrate proficiency in Orthopedics (total joints), General Surgery, and OB/C-Sections. Required surgical skills include lobe/lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic-assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and additional urological procedures.

Special Procedures and Equipment:

Experience required with orthopedic, GYN, podiatry, general surgery, endoscopy, and labor and delivery C-section cases. You will use specialized equipment including the Hana Table and must have cell saver experience with administration of blood and blood products. Proficiency in Fire Safety, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Infection Control, Universal Protocol, and Wound Management standards is required.

Patient Population:

You will serve patient age groups spanning infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

Schedule and On-Call:

This is a day-shift role with on-call responsibilities every 5th or 6th weekend and one day during the week. Experience with any electronic charting system is acceptable.
