Operating Room RN Job in Austell, GA

Cobb Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Operating Room. This is a day shift position perfect for nurses ready to deliver skilled perioperative care in a collaborative environment.

Position Details

• Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with call responsibilities
• 91-day travel assignment starting September 22, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,969

Your Responsibilities

• Perform the Nursing Process—assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice
• Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care aligned with population-specific characteristics including age, gender, and disease state
• Partner with patients and families using appropriate communication methods: bedside shift reports, interdisciplinary rounds, and patient teaching
• Coordinate safe, quality patient care through clear interdisciplinary communication and timely documentation
• Participate in performance improvement activities, research, and shared governance at all levels
• Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments and required mandatory education
• Serve as preceptor and mentor for nursing staff as needed
• Uphold all healthcare system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, including TJC Patient Safety Goals
• Support efficient use of human and material resources
• Participate in data collection and evidence-based practice initiatives

Required Qualifications

• RN license (Single State or Multi-State Compact)
• BLS certification (AHA, ARC, or Instructor)
• Associate's, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred)
• Less than 1 year of experience accepted upon completion of an accredited nursing program; direct patient care experience preferred
• Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills
• Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with composure and decisiveness
• Strong critical thinking and time management skills
• Basic computer skills and ability to optimize technology use to support clinical care
