PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - IMC

Job Details:

• 13 or 26 week contract options available
• Must work 2 of the 3 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's
• 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Care for adult patients including trauma, medical, surgical, and neurology cases requiring monitoring or interventions every 1-2 hours
• Receive direct admissions, ICU transfers, and escalations from Rapid Response Teams
• Must be proficient in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
• Medication management skills must include titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Ventilator experience required
• Special equipment includes Hercules patient re-positioners, ceiling lifts, and Airtaps
• May be required to float to other units or campuses as needed based on census
• Minimum of 1 completed travel assignment and 2 years of RN experience required
• Previous IICU/ICU experience with acuity of at least 1:3 required
• First-time travelers must have 3 years of experience within specialty and critical care experience
• Must have an active SC or multistate license - pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
