Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work evening/night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week with 36-hour work weeks
• Charge experience required
• Required to float as a sitter
• May float between campuses and in rotation
• Washington State or Compact RN Licensure required
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Coordinate and provide high quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Continually evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness, educational needs, and necessary changes
• Accurately document care provided, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses
• Collect patient information needed to provide safe, high quality care
• Complete holistic ongoing assessments of patient status and respond appropriately
• Address physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs of patients
• Educate patients, families, and significant others on appropriate health information and provide written materials
• Maintain current knowledge base of workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures
• Delegate appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff according to hospital and unit policies
• Must consistently function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit specific standards of practice
