CT Technologist Job in Richmond, VA

Childrens Hospital of Richmond at VCU is seeking a CT Technologist to join their radiology and cardiology departments. You will work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Friday through Sunday in an emergency department setting.

What You'll Do

• Perform CT scanning for a mix of emergency and inpatient cases
• Work with diverse patient populations including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Float to the main hospital location within scope as needed
• Prepare and administer contrast media
• Start peripheral IVs
• Use PACS and Siemens equipment
• Perform specialized studies including brain perfusion, CTA, transplant studies, and trauma imaging

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of CT technologist experience
• Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (R)(CT) certifications
• BLS certification
• VA or compact state license at time of hire
• Epic charting experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• BSN preferred
• Natural nail policy in effect

Required Technical Skills

• Abdomen, chest, head, cervical, lumbar, and thoracic imaging with and without contrast
• Pelvis imaging without and with contrast
• CT arthrography and colonography
• Musculoskeletal trauma
• Pediatric and adult acute care
• NICU, PICU, and adult ICU protocols

This is a 91-day travel assignment with a weekly pay of $2,592. Assignment begins August 3, 2026. You will need to provide two professional references at time of application.
