ICU Registered Nurse Job in Cartersville, GA

Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in our Intensive Care Unit. This is a float pool position requiring flexibility to support multiple departments across the hospital, including the Emergency Department, ER Hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU units.

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• Duration: 98 weeks
• Start date: November 16, 2026
• Weekly pay: $1,916
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Flexible scheduling required; block schedule requests not accepted

Clinical Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted
• ICU experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
• Epic charting system experience required

Essential Skills:

• Arterial line management
• BiPAP/CPAP management
• Care of ventilated patients
• Central line care and management
• Isolation precautions and PPE compliance
• Dysrhythmia management
• IV insertion and maintenance
• Endotracheal and nasotracheal suctioning
• Cardiac drip titration
• Vasoactive drip titration

Time Off and Holiday Policy:

Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract. Holiday coverage is required. If one or two major holidays fall within your assignment period, you are expected to work all of them. If three major holidays fall within your assignment period, you are expected to work two. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Black Friday, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
