Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Avon, IN

You will work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at IU Health West Hospital in Avon, Indiana. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 5x8 day shift: 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekly pay: $2,811
• You must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of non-holiday time off may be auto-approved; additional requests require facility approval

Role Details

You will perform nuclear medicine imaging and testing for adult and geriatric patients. Your responsibilities include administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and ensuring proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials. You may float to other facilities based on staffing needs. Block schedule availability will be discussed at placement.

Required Skills and Certifications

You must hold current BLS certification and at least one of the following: CNMT, NMTCB, or ARRT(N). An active Indiana license is required. You must have 2 years of nuclear medicine experience and prior community hospital experience. Cerner charting system proficiency is essential.

Your technical skills should include: 3 Phase imaging, abdominal imaging, adenosine infusion, bone imaging, brain imaging, captopril studies, cerebral blood flow, venous blood drawing, DTPA aerosol, exercise/rest studies, gastric emptying, HIDA scans, I-123 uptake scans, isolation precautions and PPE, liver imaging, liver scans for hemangioma, MUGA scans, nuclear cardiology, perfusion studies, Persantine infusion, pharmacological stress testing, renal studies, Sestamibi parathyroid scans, Siemens equipment operation, IV insertion and maintenance, ventilation/perfusion studies, and whole body imaging.
