Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an RN for its Telemetry unit. You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiac care environment, monitoring patients with heart conditions and supporting their recovery.

Position Details:

• Specialty: Telemetry
• Shift: 3x12 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: July 13, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,213.64

Facility & Location:

You will work at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, with the flexibility to float between two locations: Mercy Main and West Des Moines. This travel assignment offers you the opportunity to gain experience across different care settings within the same health system.

Your Role:

As a Telemetry RN, you will monitor cardiac patients, interpret telemetry readings, respond to arrhythmias and patient changes, and coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team. You will document patient assessments, manage medications, and provide education to patients and families about heart health and recovery.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Iowa
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts with physical demands of nursing care
• Willingness to float between two facility locations
• Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
