Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work in a 16-bed unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
• Patient types include Telemetry, Post-Op Surgical, Orthopedic, and General Surgery
• Responsible for reading and measuring telemetry strips
• Administer and manage drips including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Every 3rd weekend required with holiday rotation if scheduled
• No on-call responsibilities
• Minimum 24 months of Med Surg and/or Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Orthopedic and general surgery care experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 24 months of current nursing experience
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry discipline required
