Operating Room RN Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room on a 98-day travel assignment. You will work 4x10 shifts during days, starting September 28, 2026, at a weekly pay rate of $2,263.

Role Overview

You will staff the Main OR, which includes 16 rooms with an average daily census of 35 patients. The OR covers General, Neuro, Spine, Ortho, Robotics, Urology, Vascular, and Colorectal specialties, serving adults and geriatric populations. Both circulate and scrub experience are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub in a fast-paced surgical environment
• Work with Epic and Pyxis systems, including 2 Da Vinci XI Robots
• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed (rare)

Schedule & On-Call Requirements

• 2 to 3 weekends per 8-week schedule, either in-house or on call
• 7 to 8 call shifts per 8-week schedule, including 1 weekend call and 1 to 2 weekend shifts
• 2 to 3 weekday night call shifts per 8-week period
• Call shifts are either 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM (C1) or 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (C2)
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
• RTO blackout includes Spring Break (April 4–12)
• Holiday work expectations apply if major holidays fall within your assignment

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of operating room experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current BLS certification
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
