Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with shift hours from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• On-call required after shift hours Friday through Sunday during scheduled weeks
• Must be available to take call at least two days per week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule depending on need
• Minimum of 5 weekend shifts per contract
• Overtime days each week
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• First-time travelers not accepted; travel experience required
• 2 years of experience required with Level 1 Trauma experience
• CVOR experience required, including First Assist roles
• Must be proficient in procedures including Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, ASD repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, ECMO, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, and VAD management
• Average of 3 hearts per day in the CVOR unit
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Floating required per facility policy; may float to Main OR if CVOR volume is low, and only to units for which competencies have been demonstrated
• Required certifications: BLS and CST through NBSTSA (pending certification not accepted)
• Travel pairs and trios are welcome
