CVOR Technologist Job in Charleston, SC

Trident Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for its Cardiac and Vascular Operating Room (CVOR). You will work on a 4x10 day schedule, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with on-call responsibilities. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 24, 2026.

Your Role

You will support complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular procedures in a 1:1 patient ratio environment. Each OR room is staffed with one RN and one CST, with turnover staff, a charge RN, and 4:1 anesthesia coverage available during in-house night shifts. You will perform procedures including AAA repairs, valve replacements, CABG, bypass, angiography, and stent placement. You will also rotate into the Main OR to assist with general, trauma, orthopedic, urologic, gynecologic, robotic-assisted, plastic, and neurologic cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Position, prep, and facilitate complex open thoracic and endovascular cases in CVOR
• Demonstrate general circulating knowledge across multiple surgical specialties in Main OR
• Maintain proficiency with XI Robot, Mako joint robot, and advanced spine technology
• Work with hospital-provided scrubs and Meditech documentation system
• Follow AIDET patient experience protocols
• Participate in rotating on-call schedules: 8–10 CVOR call shifts (12-hour Monday–Friday) and 24-hour Saturday–Sunday shifts every 4 weeks; 3 Main OR call shifts (12-hour) every 4 weeks
• Work every other weekend and holidays per facility rotation

Requirements

• Current CST certification and BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years surgical technologist experience
• Cardiac surgical experience required
• General circulating and CVOR positioning/prepping knowledge
• No floating policy applies

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,482. The facility provides scrubs.
