ED Registered Nurse Job in Great Barrington, MA

Fairview Hospital in Great Barrington is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department on a temporary basis. This is a 91-day assignment starting July 13, 2026, working three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,410.56 weekly.

Position Overview

You'll function independently under the general guidance of the Department Director, applying strong time management, communication, planning, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced emergency setting. You must maintain emotional stability, exercise critical thinking, and follow all unit-specific guidelines, protocols, and policies.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN License
• 2 years of current Emergency Room experience
• BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and PALS (AHA) certifications
• Ability to work every other weekend schedule and holidays as needed
• One supervisory signed reference from the past two years
• Own vehicle for transportation
• No on-call responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• ED Triage or Cardiac Room experience (candidates with this experience receive first consideration)
• IV Certification
• Meditech Expanse experience
• ENPC or CEN certification
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable. You may request up to five days of time off during the assignment; fewer requests are preferred. You'll be required to complete a skills checklist for the Emergency Department within one year of employment. No marketing or sales components—this is a clinical nursing role focused on direct patient care in the ED.
