ED Registered Nurse Job in Missouri Valley, IA

CHI Health Missouri Valley is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 17, 2026, offering three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,384.64 weekly.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend requirement: at least every third weekend
• Holiday rotation with core staff as needed
• 2 shifts of unit and department-specific orientation provided

Role & Responsibilities

• Float to the Emergency Department for support as needed
• Primarily Med-Surg unit with occasional ED float
• Work in a 14-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:5–6
• Common patient diagnoses: CHF, pneumonia, skilled PT/OT patients, and antibiotic administration
• Unit admits cardiac and diabetic Progressive Care level patients
• Common drips include antibiotics (set rate); no titration required
• Charge nurse present on each shift with assignment
• Nurse aides and patient care techs available with a 1:10 ratio

Requirements & Credentials

• Current RN license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Valid driver's license required at submittal
• BSN not required
• Must pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher score during orientation
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrubs: Navy Blue; artificial nails prohibited in all patient care areas
