ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts in the Emergency Department
• Every 4th weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Guaranteed 36-40 hours per week
• Patient ratio of 4:1 in an 18-bed unit
• Care for a diverse patient population including behavioral health, pediatric, and adult patients
• Experience with drips including sedation and vasoactive required
• Experience reading, measuring, and interpreting telemetry strips required
• Behavioral health patient experience highly preferred
• Must float across all campuses as required
• Scrubs: Navy blue, solid color required
• EMR system: EPIC
• Minimum 36 months of current Emergency Department experience required
• First-time travelers accepted with minimum 36 months of ED experience
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Required certifications: TNCC, BLS (AHA/ARC), ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA)
• Skills checklist specific to Emergency Department discipline required
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Valid driver's license required
• Must be available to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
