Respiratory Therapist Job in Robinson, IL

Crawford Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team on a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week at $2,152 weekly pay.

In this role, you will provide cardiopulmonary care services according to physician orders and department policies. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing accurate respiratory assessments including initial screenings, pain assessments, and reassessments appropriate to patient age, culture, and psychosocial needs
• Determining treatment requirements including therapy type, method, duration, precautions, and medication dosages compatible with physician orders
• Monitoring patient physiological responses to therapy including vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes
• Preparing and administering medications based on patient age and clinical condition
• Conducting tests such as Holter monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and lung capacity tests to evaluate cardiopulmonary function
• Selecting, assembling, checking, and operating respiratory care equipment and adjusting equipment for optimum results
• Completing routine daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of department equipment including calibration
• Maintaining accurate, complete, and timely documentation in electronic and chart form
• Formulating teaching plans based on identified learning needs, including patient and family education on pain management and discharge planning
• Participating in performance improvement activities

Required qualifications: Current Illinois Respiratory Therapist License; BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications; strong computer skills with the ability to navigate EMR programs. Preferred: Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience.
