PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• 3x12 day shifts scheduled from 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM
• Float to ICU as needed
• Block scheduling type
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 36 orientation hours required
• Supports recovery services for OR, Cath Lab, IR, Endoscopy, and Cardiac (except open heart) in-patient and out-patient procedures
• Care for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be AHA or ARC)
• Valid California nursing license required
• Required skills include: Phase I PACU, arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition and management, blood product administration, central line care and management, IV vasopressors, narcotics and opioid analgesics, reversal agents, conscious sedation, post-epidural management, malignant hyperthermia protocol, pain assessment and management, PCA pump management, airway assessment, extubation, intubation, chest tube management, and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
