Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Clearwater, FL

You are a Registered Nurse with at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience, and you are ready to bring your skills to Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Florida. This is a 91-day travel assignment running from August 3, 2026, on a 4x10 day shift schedule. You will earn $2,407.68 weekly.

In this role, you will circulate and scrub procedures in a 3-room Cath Lab serving 6–20 adult and geriatric patients daily. Your responsibilities include administering conscious sedation, managing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, and supporting high-risk percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI). You will work with specialized equipment including the Impella, Shockwave, Rotoblator, CSI, IABP, and Laser systems. On-call coverage is required as needed; there are no weekend requirements and no floating outside your scope.

Expected clinical skills include:

• Cardiac stent placement and carotid stenting
• Left and right heart catheterization
• IABP placement and removal
• Rotablator atherectomy
• Upper and lower extremity angiography
• Procedural sedation administration and monitoring

You will encounter patient diagnoses including coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, valvular disease, STEMI/NSTEMI, unstable angina, and workup for advanced procedures such as TAVR and Mitraclip. Special procedures on this unit include cardiac catheterization, high-risk PCI, peripheral interventions, carotid stents, and research cases.

You must hold a current Florida license or compact license, and maintain active ACLS and BLS certifications. Cerner EMR experience is preferred. You will receive 20 orientation hours to familiarize yourself with the facility workflow.

This assignment offers interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams. Travel experience is required for this position.
