Special Procedures Technologist in New Orleans, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Allied Health Professional Special Procedures Technologist for Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning June 22, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $3,124.

Position Overview

You will work a weekend-only schedule of three 12-hour shifts, either Friday/Saturday/Sunday or Saturday/Sunday/Monday. On-call coverage is required with a 30-minute response time. You will rotate between primary and secondary call on alternate weekend nights, supporting a daily census of 30 patients across 5 procedure rooms in the Interventional Radiology and Cardiology departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub duties while maintaining sterile field during interventional procedures
• Support angiography, angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, TIPS procedures, and additional IR interventions
• Operate specialized equipment including Siemens single and biplane fluoro systems, GE biplane fluoro, GE procedural CT scanner, ultrasound, cryo, RF, and MWA machines
• Document procedures in the Epic charting system
• Collaborate with respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
• Care for patients across all age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience; 1 year accepted if candidate has neuro and scrub experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and AHA certifications
• ARRT R and ARRT VI certifications
• Scrub experience and travel experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility address

Preferred Qualifications

• Neuro IR experience
• Trauma Level I and II experience
