Emergency Room RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a dedicated RN for the Emergency Department. This 89-day travel assignment offers 12-hour shifts at $2,421 per week, beginning October 12, 2026.

Role Overview

You will care for an assigned group of patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. Your responsibilities include documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments, monitoring physiological data, and intervening when necessary. You will work closely with physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied patient caseload with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Document all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Observe physiological manifestations and intervene when clinically indicated
• Share care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals to appropriate personnel based on patient care needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Emergency department experience required
• Trauma experience preferred
• Travel experience preferred
