Ultrasound Technologist Job in Jacksonville, NC

You'll work as an Ultrasound Technologist at UNC Health Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC, performing diagnostic ultrasound imaging across multiple specialty areas. This position is part of the Women's Imaging Department and offers a structured 5x8 day schedule from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with on-call availability as needed.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound imaging including abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, neuro, and neonatal head studies
• Demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and intervention as requested by licensed practitioners
• Apply appropriate patient care techniques and recognize patient conditions necessary for successful procedure completion
• Exercise professional judgment in the performance of clinical services
• Maintain professional conduct consistent with medical ethics and facility standards
• Document findings in the Meditech charting system

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of ultrasound experience required
• Current BLS certification
• RDMS or ARRT certification required
• Meditech charting system experience highly preferred
• Allied Health Professional degree or equivalent qualification

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026. You'll earn $2,572 weekly. The position requires on-call participation as requested by the facility.

You'll be part of a clinical team focused on diagnostic imaging quality and patient care. Your experience with ultrasound protocols and your ability to work independently while collaborating with radiologists and physicians will be essential to your success in this role.
