Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• Circulating position only - scrubbing is not required
• Shift options include 8 and 10 hour shifts with 40 guaranteed hours per workweek, three 12-hour shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per workweek, or four 12-hour shifts with 48 guaranteed hours per workweek
• Scheduling type is variable
• Patient ratio is 1:1 during day shifts
• Float required to other OR specialties
• On-call required approximately 100 hours per 6-week period, including 1 call weekend per 6 weeks (Friday evening to Monday morning)
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted if they have Level I Trauma experience
• Travel experience required
• Minimum 2 supervisor references required
• Patients served include adults and geriatric populations
• Key procedures and skills include cardiovascular surgery, heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, endovascular procedures, and ECMO
• Core skills required: must have at least 3 out of 4 cardiovascular competencies, including heart and lung transplant experience
• Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
• Required certifications: BLS
• Indiana nursing license, compact license, or Indiana temporary license must be in hand prior to start
• Charge pay is offered
