CVOR Technologist Job in Atlanta, GA

You will work as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a 140-day travel assignment with a 3x12 day shift schedule, paying $2,091 weekly. Start date: November 2, 2026.

Role Overview

You will support complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases in a dynamic OR environment. Your responsibilities include instrument processing, aseptic technique, scope and fiber optic equipment care, sterilization and disinfection, and assistance with cardiothoracic robotic procedures. You will maintain a 1:1 patient ratio across day, night, and weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Cardiovascular, thoracic, transplant, and robotics experience preferred
• Community hospital, Trauma Level I, and Level II experience preferred

Specialized Skills

You must be proficient in the following procedures and techniques:

• Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Mitral valve replacement, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
• Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), TEVAR
• Carotid Endarterectomy, Femoral popliteal bypass graft
• Lung resection, Thoracotomy, VATS, Laparoscopic Cardiac Surgery
• Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) support, Pericardial window
• Airway management and laparoscopic assisted cases

Call and Scheduling

Call is required: 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks (subject to change based on departmental needs). You will float within facility scope and to the Main OR as needed. Weekends are included in call requirements. Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract. Holiday expectations: if 1–2 major holidays fall during your assignment, you will work all of them; if 3 major holidays fall during your assignment, you will work 2 of them.

Patient Population

You will care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients requiring cardiovascular and thoracic intervention.
