RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must have experience assisting with Sclerotherapy, TEE, Endoscopic Ultrasound, ERCP, and esophageal ballooning procedures
• Must be able to scrub and circulate endoscopy cases
• 6-8 days of call per month on weekends required
• Expect to work some holidays
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of approximately 15 patients across 4 procedure rooms
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Cerner charting system experience preferred
• Required skills include: Administering and monitoring conscious sedation, airway management, balloon dilators, colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, ERBE electrosurgical units, esophageal varices and banding, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, lithotripters, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, opioid analgesics and reversal agents, polyp snares, pre/post procedure care, recovering conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care sedation, sclerotherapy, scrub and circulate, specimen handling and labeling, starting and maintaining IVs, use of Versed, and foreign body equipment
