Opportunity:
RN - PCU
Job Details:
• Varied work schedule assignment
• Float throughout two campuses, covering Adult Health units ranging from Observation, Med Surg, PCU, and IMC
• May be floated to the ED or PACU to care for Adult Health patients with inpatient orders awaiting a bed
• Second campus is approximately a 10-minute drive from primary campus
• Level I Trauma and large hospital experience is required
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Conduct patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed health care team members
• Evaluate patient and family responses to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in shared leadership, quality improvement initiatives, and education of facility personnel, patients, and families
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently, and may be required to lift up to 75 pounds
• Minimum one year of acute care experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area, with experience within the past 12 months required
• Current, valid RN license in state of practice required
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
