PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Float throughout two campuses to provide support where necessary
• May be assigned to any of approximately 16 Adult Health units at the primary campus, including expanded spaces in the ED or PACU spaces for adult health patients with inpatient orders waiting on unit beds
• Secondary campus is approximately a 10-minute drive away and includes 4-5 adult health units ranging from Observation to PCU depending on the season
• Varied work schedule
• Previous travel experience required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required
• Experience must include working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the specialty area
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care including discharge planning in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed health care team members
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching and revise care plans as needed
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
