PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Varied work schedule assignment
• Level I Trauma and large hospital experience required
• Float throughout two campuses to provide support where necessary
• May be floated to any Adult Health units including Observation, Med Surg, PCU, and IMC units
• Occasionally may be floated to the ED or PACU to care for Adult Health patients with inpatient orders waiting on a bed
• Second campus location is approximately a 10-minute drive from primary campus
• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of health care team activities
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and in a timely manner in patient records
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required with experience in specialty area within the past 12 months
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
