PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for a 89-day travel assignment in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at BUMC Tucson. You'll work three 12-hour day shifts per week at $2,582.10 weekly, with a start date of September 28, 2026.

About the Role

You will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies and professional standards. Your responsibilities include performing comprehensive patient assessments—physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural—and identifying discharge planning needs. You'll review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers. You will formulate and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and delegate and supervise activities of licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members.

Staffing Model

You'll float as part of a Resource Float Pool team, providing support across two campuses. The main campus includes approximately 16 Adult Health units, with possible deployment to expanded Emergency Department or PACU spaces for Adult Health patients awaiting inpatient unit beds. The secondary campus, located approximately 10 minutes away, includes 4–5 Adult Health units ranging from Observation to PCU depending on season.

Physical Requirements

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds. Standard precautions apply due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.

Required Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience
• Specialty area experience within the past 12 months
• Previous travel healthcare experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• Professional certification in your specialty
