Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Albany, NY

Samaritan is seeking an RN for their Cardiac Cath Lab in Albany, NY. This is a 90-day travel assignment with 4x10 day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

About the Role

You will provide assessment, monitoring, and intervention for a wide range of cardiac procedures, including left and right heart catheterization, coronary stents, balloon valvuloplasty, pericardiocentesis, structural heart procedures, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, and EKOS. You will administer oral and intravenous medications, manage patients under sedation, and monitor for adverse reactions. Patient education regarding surgical site care, lifestyle, medications, and postoperative instructions is a key part of your responsibilities.

As a team member of the Emergency On Call Team (STEMI Team), you will respond to acute cardiac events. You will also manage documentation including patient consent forms, charting, lab results, and procedure documentation, and collaborate with other medical staff as needed.

Requirements

• RN license in New York
• Minimum 2 years of catheterization lab, procedural, or sedation experience
