Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Must be available to work 2 weekend days per month
• Work as the primary speech therapist for adult inpatient majority of time
• Perform typical speech evaluations and treatments daily
• Conduct Passy Muir valve trials and tolerance trials
• Perform Modified Barium Swallow (MBS) studies for both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Conduct cognitive assessments and language assessments including expressive and receptive
• Provide caregiver training
• Treat patients in ICU and CVIUCU settings
• Must be comfortable with trach patients
• Prioritize patients across different units and floors
• Maintain interdisciplinary communication with physicians and residents
• Must be easily adaptable to a fast-paced unit and able to function well independently
• Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
• Required certifications: CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) and BLS
• Florida state license required
• Dress code: Light gray scrubs
