Pharmacy Technician Job in Asheville, NC

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is seeking an Allied Health Professional Pharmacy Technician for a backfill travel position. You will work a 7 on, 7 off rotation schedule including weekends, with shifts running 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM on a variable basis. This position is located on the 2nd floor pharmacy in B Tower.

Your Responsibilities

• Oversee technician staff and verify orders
• Complete clinical documentation and manage central pharmacy operations
• Perform order verification and product checking/distribution
• Answer clinical questions from nurses and providers
• Operate equipment including Talyst Machine, Pyxis, LAFW, CAI, Cerner EMR, and Vigilanz

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional credential
• Hospital pharmacy experience
• Experience overseeing technician staff
• Broad experience in pediatric and adult pharmaceutical care
• RPh licensure in North Carolina

Preferred Qualifications

• Emergency Department experience
• Cerner and Vigilanz system experience
• 3rd shift experience
• ACLS experience or certification (required if working in the Emergency Department)

Assignment Details

Assignment duration is 91 days, beginning August 3, 2026. You will earn $1,606 per week for your 5x8 day shifts. Dress code includes forest green or black scrub sets, with business casual also permitted.
