Interventional Radiology RN Job in Winston Salem, NC

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for its Interventional Radiology department in Winston Salem, NC. This is a 182-day travel assignment beginning August 24, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,325.60.

Schedule and Shift Details

• 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• 40 hours per week
• Weekend call required on a rotational basis: 24-hour coverage Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM
• On-call requirement: must be at hospital within 30 minutes; approximately 8 call days per 10–12 week period with one week backup then primary rotation on Thursday; possible holiday call coverage
• Call window runs from end of shift until 7:00 AM
• No float requirement; scrubs provided (ceil blue)

Clinical Responsibilities

• Target of 16 cases per day across three IR rooms
• Pre and post-procedure coverage in the Radiology Pre Post Unit (RPPU) as needed
• Patient populations: adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Required skills: conscious sedation, telemetry, IR procedure understanding including stroke interventions, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, ventilator management, neuro and stroke procedures, and coilings
• Preferred skills: PALS certification, circulate experience, ventilator management

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Current ACLS, BCLS, and NIH certifications required
• Unit systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• 8-hour unit orientation plus hospital orientation in week one; must attend classes daily

• Interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
