Job Details:

• Option to work either 4x12 or 3x12 shifts - please confirm preference at time of submission
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract
• Holiday coverage required - if one or two major holidays fall within assignment period, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within assignment period, traveler is expected to work two
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC, ENPC, NIHSS
• Required skills: triage, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, care of ventilated patients; preferred skills: continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Telemetry competency exam required
• Experience with special equipment including Arctic Sun and Glucommander
• Facility is a Level 3 trauma center in process, primary stroke center, and chest pain center with CHF and STEMI capabilities
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
