Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Patient ratio of 2:1 in a 26-bed Medical ICU unit
• Float to other Medical-Surgical units as needed with priority focus on Intensive Care Units
• Utilize ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, and glucometers
• Document using Meditech EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation) system
• Use iMobile phones and technology as part of daily responsibilities
• Perform hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, and completion of My Care Board during hand-off report
• Apply AIDET framework with a focus on compassionate connected care
• Perform and assist with intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain placement and management, IABP management, CRRT, and proning of patients
• Advanced skills required: ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough assessment skills, and proficient knowledge of cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems
• ICU experience required
• Must have positive attitude, flexibility, teamwork, self-motivation, and strong communication skills
• Must be able to work in a diverse environment
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS; TNCC a plus
• Required dress code: Ceil blue scrubs; white or ceil blue scrub jacket optional
• Must be located 50+ miles from the facility
