ICU RN Job in Parkersburg, WV

WVU Camden Clark Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its 18-bed ICU unit in Parkersburg, WV. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM on a 3x12 schedule, with every-other-weekend requirements based on unit needs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care with typical ratios of 1:2, stretching to 1:3 with overflow or stepdown patients; 1:1 for CRRT and organ donation cases
• Manage critical care drips within ordered parameters, including vasoactive medications, sedation, and paralytics
• Operate and maintain CRRT, IABP, and mechanical ventilators
• Perform post-code and therapeutic hypothermia protocols
• Care for and removal of central lines
• Float to Stepdown and Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Document in EPIC charting system

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of critical care experience; travel experience preferred
• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certifications
• Competency with CRRT, IABP, ventilators, and critical care protocols
• Valid unexpired driver's license

Schedule & Support:

• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available when unit needs are met
• Two shifts of general floor orientation included
• EPIC education and general competency training required before start
• Holiday requirements may apply based on staffing needs

Facility Details:

The ICU features 18 beds with all private rooms equipped with negative pressure capability. Dress code requires royal blue scrubs; scrub jackets are permitted, but hoodies and sweat jackets are not allowed.

Assignment Details:

91-day travel assignment beginning August 3, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,384.64.
