Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in La Crosse, WI

Join the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse, Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse. You will work in a fast-paced environment alongside 3 Interventional Cardiologists and a 4-person team of RNs and technicians, scrubbing in for a wide range of complex procedures.

Role Responsibilities

• Scrub in with physicians for Interventional Radiology, Catheterization, and Structural Heart procedures
• Support primary cases including standard catheterizations, high-risk PCIs with Impella support, and structural interventions such as TAVRs, MitraClips, and Watchman procedures
• Float within the Cath Lab only
• Manage patient care and assist physicians during procedures

Schedule & Commitment

• 9-hour variable day shifts: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• 72 hours guaranteed biweekly
• On-call 1–2 nights per week (5:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with 30-minute response time
• On-call every 4th–5th weekend (Friday 5:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM)
• Holiday rotation as needed; 1 holiday required due to call schedule
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: October 26, 2026

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current Wisconsin RN license
• Minimum 2+ years of Cath Lab experience
• Strong scrubbing skills and structural case experience (required)
• Demonstrated competency with high-risk cases
• Epic charting experience
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred
