About this role
Kona Community Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Critical Care Float Pool role in the Emergency Department. You will need both ER and ICU experience to be considered for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary nursing care for patients in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit
- Float to other nursing units as needed to provide support in a secondary capacity
- Assist with expediting on other floors, patient sitting, and patient transport
- Monitor telemetry and respond to clinical changes
- Serve as an active member of the rapid response and code blue teams
Schedule and Compensation:
You will work 12-hour rotating shifts during evening and night hours. The position guarantees 72–80 hours per two-week pay period, with weekly pay of $2,759.40. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026.
Requirements:
Current RN license is required. Demonstrated experience in both the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit is essential. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple patient acuity levels, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
