CT Technologist - CT Tech

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call availability required as needed
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT CT, BLS
• Meditech charting system experience preferred
• Perform CT imaging to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention at the request of a licensed practitioner
• Operate CT equipment and associated equipment to achieve desired results on patients of all ages
• Position patients to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest while respecting patient comfort and ability
• Prepare, identify, and/or administer contrast media as prescribed
• Practice ongoing radiation protection for self and patient
• Assist physicians with interventional procedures
• Perform diagnostic testing on equipment and general maintenance, reporting errors to manufacturer and/or BioMed
• Review available data, consents, and charts with patient and family concerning current treatments, previous surgeries, illness, or injuries as necessary
• Prepare patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety
• Maintain cleanliness of suite and equipment, stock and label supplies, and practice cost-effective use of supplies
• Apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures
• Exercise professional judgment in performance of services and maintain a demeanor complementary to medical ethics
• Skills required include Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient, and PACS
