Echo Technologist Job in Shreveport, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Echo Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment at CHRISTUS Highland Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. This full-time position offers day shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with weekend call required every 3–4 weeks depending on staffing needs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), stress echocardiograms, and cardiac ultrasound procedures per physician orders
• Handle 5–8 cases per day with an average of 5 scans daily
• Support OR, inpatient, outpatient, and cath lab settings with no floating required
• Apply knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology to obtain diagnostic-quality images
• Ensure proper documentation and labeling of studies in accordance with departmental and accreditation standards
• Adhere to established protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements (IAC, ASE)
• Participate in routine equipment maintenance and quality control procedures
• Communicate effectively with referring providers to clarify orders and ensure appropriate study selection

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited echocardiogram, cardiovascular sonography, or equivalent program
• One of the following registrations required: Adult Echocardiography (AE) RDCS by ARDMS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by CCI, or Vascular Sonography (VS) by ARRT
• OR/intraoperative TEE experience required
• 1–3 years of echocardiography experience preferred
• BLS certification required
