Echo Technologist Job in Alexandria, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a registered Echo Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, LA. You will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a rotating weekend schedule every fifth week and on-call rotation one week every fifth week to support 24/7 echocardiography coverage.

Your Responsibilities:

• Perform adult echocardiograms with occasional pediatric telemed cases, averaging 6–8 studies per day
• Conduct cardiac Doppler and color flow mapping for outpatients and inpatients of all ages
• Assist with Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE) per physician orders
• Perform stress echocardiograms in all modalities
• Perform and transmit pediatric echocardiograms
• Complete preliminary echo reports within Merge or other reporting systems
• Maintain infection control procedures, including machine cleaning between patients and high-level disinfection of TEE probes after each use
• Complete documentation and charges associated with services provided
• Communicate professionally with physicians regarding patient test results and pertinent patient information

Requirements:

• Allied Health Professional credential with registration in cardiac sonography
• Current certification as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS, Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) via CCI, or Registered Vascular Sonographer via ARDMS or CCI
• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiovascular ultrasound and non-invasive procedures
• Current BLS certification via AHA
• Proficiency with office equipment and computer systems, including Meditech
• Galaxy blue or royal blue scrubs required per dress code
